Our Lost at Sea collection takes its name from a true tale: James’s great-great-grandfather Albert Self, a Royal Navy caulker lost at sea on Christmas Day 1885. Swallows, compasses, and stars, the symbols sailors once trusted to find their way home, now set in gold and diamonds. Every ring here is made to be worn as a story, not just an accessory.

The Illustrated Jeweller is a Brighton-based bespoke jewellery studio founded by tattoo artist turned designer James Robinson. Handcrafted in the UK in solid silver and gold, each piece is set with precious gemstones — from Moonstone and Sapphire to raw and laboratory-grown Diamonds. Inspired by sailors, swallows, and the symbolism of the sea, the collection carries the story of James’ great-great-grandfather Albert Self, lost at sea in 1885.
